Frequently Asked Questions
🎵 Service & Process
1. What types of music can you transcribe?
I can work with almost any style — pop, jazz, classical, gospel, rock, film, anime, and more. Whether you need a solo piano score, a guitar tab, a vocal line, or a full band arrangement, I’ll adapt the sheet music to your needs.
2. Do you use AI or automated software for your music transcriptions?
No — every transcription is done 100% by ear and manually, ensuring the highest level of accuracy, musicality, and human touch. Automated tools often miss subtle rhythms, harmonies, and nuances that only a trained musician can capture.
I do use tools like Transcribe! to slow down, loop, and closely analyze the audio, but the actual transcription process is entirely done by ear.
3. Can you transcribe from poor-quality or live recordings?
Yes, I can usually work with lower-quality or live recordings. If the audio is very unclear, I’ll let you know what’s possible and suggest alternatives to ensure the best result.
4. Do you accept YouTube/Spotify links, or do I need to send an MP3?
Both work! You can send me a YouTube, Spotify, or streaming link, or upload an MP3/WAV file if you already have the recording.
5. Can you transcribe for any instrument (piano, horns, strings, etc.)?
Yes. I can transcribe for piano, horns, bass, voice, strings, wind instruments, and more. Just tell me what instrument or ensemble you need the sheet music for.
🎼 Custom Arrangements
6. I like this YouTube video, but the playing level is too hard. Can you adjust it?
Yes. I can arrange the music to match your playing level — whether you want a simplified version to learn more easily, or a more advanced version to challenge yourself.
7. Do you make custom music arrangements?
Yes. I can create custom music arrangements to suit your purpose — for example, simplifying a complex piano piece, adapting a song for choir, or arranging music for a band or ensemble.
8. Can you transpose the music into a different key?
Of course. If you’re a singer or instrumentalist who needs a different key, I’ll transpose it for you at no extra cost.
⏱ Turnaround & Delivery
9. How long does it take to complete a transcription?
It depends on the length and complexity. Most projects are ready within 3–5 days. Rush orders are available for an additional fee if you need it sooner.
10. Can you handle urgent requests / rush orders?
Yes. If you need your sheet music quickly, I offer rush delivery for an additional fee.
11. In what format will I receive the sheet music?
You’ll always receive a clean, print-ready PDF. If you need editable files (MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale, XML) or MIDI, I can provide those too.
đź’˛ Pricing & Payment
12. How do you calculate the cost of a transcription?
Pricing depends on song length, complexity, and instrumentation. A short, simple lead sheet will cost less than a full orchestral arrangement. Request a free quote to know the exact price, or see my pricing guide for details.
13. Is there a minimum price per song/piece?
No, there’s no minimum fee. Even short or simple projects are welcome — I’ll quote fairly based on the actual work involved.
14. Do you offer revisions if I want changes?
Yes. Every order includes free revisions to ensure the sheet music is exactly how you want it.
15. What payment methods do you accept?
At the moment, I accept payments through PayPal and Wise. PayPal also supports major cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
âś… Accuracy & Quality
16. How accurate will the transcription be?
All transcriptions are done carefully by ear, note by note — not through automated software (which often messes things up). You’ll receive a highly accurate score that matches the recording.
17. Do you simplify or arrange music if it’s too complex?
Yes. If a piece is very challenging, I can create a simplified version tailored to your skill level.
18. Can you notate dynamics, articulations, and performance details?
Yes. I can include dynamics, articulations, pedal markings, tempo changes, and other musical details if requested.
📜 Rights & Legality
19. Can you transcribe copyrighted music?
Yes. It’s legal to commission a transcription for personal, educational, or performance use. However, publishing, selling, or redistributing copyrighted music may require permission from the publisher.
20. Do I own the sheet music after you transcribe it?
Yes. Once the transcription is delivered, the sheet music is yours to use for personal or performance purposes.
21. Will my music stay private?
Yes. If you send me your own composition or original song, it will be kept completely confidential. I never share or reuse client files.
